And medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for. To quote from Whitman, "O me! Total dis-identification with the faulty constraints, ignorant identification with, and illusory defining elements of the ultimately unreal costume of a separate, autonomously animated ego. With the resulting discovery being that of a complete and unwavering direct Realization instead, in cognizance, of what one has spent their lives ignoring—i.e., what one actually is: not a separate entity or individual human, not even consciousness, or awareness, or even united as one with “every person” on the screen. But rather, incredibly (and ordinarily) the beingless being without attributes – unidentifying and unidentifiable (no qualities can be projected onto It) taking in – yet unfooled by – the illusion playing out on the screen “in front of” One’s actual stateless state. The Absolute, sustaining the observerless Observer (as well as all else in the dream). Yet never in the least bit separated – either with any illusory thing or form in the story, or out of it. All animating All – yet Nothing. Entertained and engaged both by and thru one’s dismantled and fading character, and also by the totality of the story being animated and projected upon the screen (to the degree necessary given whatever particular scene may be playing in the dream movie at any given time). Yet ultimately, unconcerned for events or outcomes in the picture show – i.e., never again fooled for a moment by the show being projected – as the playing field watched has been seen through and is known directly to be false, vapor, and ultimately uninhabited by anyone or anything that can be autonomously sustain outside of the dream. Resting instead as the Undefined: fulfilled and therefore grounded not by anything in form, in time or in awareness. But rather, engulfed – without a trace of personal identity – by the Undefinable nature, the True Totally Empty yet Totally Full nature, of What Is actually the case – in the Universe, and beyond.  less
