Some of us are considering a collaborative multimedia project usign input from various members. The initial thought is some kind of video with artwork/photography, recorded poetry, and music. We'd like to know who all would be interested in contributing something to this project.

This is the very, very beginning of the thought process, so nothing is set in stone. It's absolutely open for discussion and input!

I could contribute some throat singing with and without overtones, though not sure if it’s the sound you’ll be looking for, though it sure helps me awaken and center myself.

Okay, I'll kick things off. I'm an audio person mostly, so I can handle the audio needs if we decide to go as a movie. I don't mean just music, but compiling a sound track, fixing iffy vocal recordings (since I'm guessing most of our poets don't have high quality mics).

I can also do basic video editing, but nothing too complex (animated logos, etc).

I'd like to basically treat my contribution as a scoring project like a film composer would. Maybe one or two cloud pictures.

I could give you some samples, I’ve heard your work from the page so I know it’s in good hands. Lots of different things come out, different songs and vibrations. Though all I have is my camcorder, I don’t mind a little investment of a microphone and/or software to get you some better sound quality – any suggestions?

I can basically clean up the sound source, but the better quality it is to work with the better end product. Especially for throat singing with all those crazy overtones. Mics are usually a chunk of change, the cheapest one I'm seeing for computer setup is like $60. That seems a little steep to me, but you can judge for yourself. Basically we'll work with anything anyone contributes!

Kay, thanks, I will find a decent mic. I’m in Grants NM now, been traveling around for a few months to a bunch of ancient sites, petroglyph sites, and pictograph sites around the four corners area USA, have a lot of pictures uploaded on my facebook page, if you wanna use any pictures of that nature, check’em out – I’m Michael Christopher Nanninga on facebook.

I'd love to contribute a poem or two, I could record them. Just let me know when and where. Your welcome to browse my poems on my blog, or just let me know what you are looking for and I can choose the ones I think would fit. Love's Dare would be great I think, and possibly Butterfly Wings.

That would be great Jenn! I guess right now it's still figuring out who all wants to contribute, then we can all decide on a format and other specifics. I think recording will be the way to go, but we'll see!

I can contribute 3d model animations.. I'm currently planning an animation using sacred geometry + playing around with word transformations/typology. I haven't nailed down the exact direction yet, so I'm glad I saw your post. I'm sure I'll know by tonight.

      SO!

I suppose a video is the best format for what we're doing (haven't heard any thoughts to the contrary).

Would everyone interested please list what all they'd like to contribute. Put in as many things as you want and we'll try to figure out a way for us all to decide what all goes in. We can focus on a specific theme, or keep it very general, or have no theme at all and just make it a showcase of Iparte creative talent.

For those submitting poetry, I'd like to do voice recordings of readings, so if someone doesn't have a way to record themselves to the computer maybe someone else could volunteer? Anybody out there who likes to do voice work?

I will do the voice recordings, these are the poems I'd like to submit.

      Love's Dare

From my heart, sings my soul’s song.
I must speak it’s message for I have not long.
To impart my words of loving care.
To all those who wish to take love’s dare.

Kindness to others and compassion to all,
Is the Divine’s most humble and loving call.
Giving to others from the depths of our hearts,
Shows what our divine nature’s can impart.

Smiling at the world, harms not a one.
It teaches others how to have some fun.
Bringing laughter to the world is a noble cause.
Showing the world it’s nature in humorous collage.

True understanding and patience are the greatest keys.
Through them you can melt away a persons dis-ease.
By sowing the seeds of love, kindness and harmony,
You can bring forth peace on the wings of destiny.

      The Search

My wolf guide came to me,
In a vision to my soul,
Said it was time to set me free,
And to step into my role.

      A spiritual healer,
      Life guide to some.
      An avid listener,
      And bearer of wisdom.

I have been searching for spirituality,
      For many, many years.
I never understood it was within me,
      I had so many fears.

What would people think of me,
      When I came out mystically.
Would they stop and stare at me,
Or would my soul finally be free?

      Constrained by my perceptions,
I failed to see the Light.
      I felt so many conceptions,
But didn’t know which one was right.

People would try to tell me,
That I should be this way or that.
I thought they were trying to sell me,
      Another religious hat.

I finally gave up on the world,
      And searched within my soul.
      Soon a new Love unfurled,
And with wonder made me whole.

It did not end the search,
      It was only the beginning,
      After great amounts of research,
      I finally find myself grinning.

For I am doing the work,
I’ve always been meant to do.
      Inspiring others quarks,
      Helping them find what’s true.

There are many paths to the Source,
It matters not which one you choose.
      Leave behind all your remorse,
And let your soul be your muse.

I have a heap more so if you need more let me know. If anyone wants to go through my blogs and see if they like any others feel free.

Anyone know who else was initially interested?

Soul Fire, do you want to go ahead and record that and see how it turns out? And Michael if you got your mic setup yet, you might want to as well. One recording tip for both: Keep the mic away from the computer as much as possible as it will pickup feedback on the recording. I can eliminate some of it in my audio apps, but the cleaner the source the better the outcome!

Count me in! Mine will be musical.

How will this be handled legally? It looks like it'd be done as a collective work, yet each person retains the rights to their work. I know a little about copyright. Each person would put theirs on a disk or thumb drive, open an account at the copyright office, have that collection on their system, then upload it to the copyright office for about $35.00. There's a form to fill out which specifies the nature of the work and the conditions that define the rights. I've never done this collectively via the net but know it's possible.

Well no one really followed through on this, so it seems to be a dead project at this point :)

Btw, with copyright laws, you don't have to file unless you plan on marketing it as a product. Once you create something, you automatically own the copyright on it.

I know, but I thought, especially if it's on the net, it should be Protected. Sorry it may be a dead project. :( That's the second dead collective project I've tried being part of. Oh well. (hangs head and shuffles off).

It's sad to see so many inactive groups here. :( Oh well. Perhaps we can work on some ideas about that. Well thanks for the effort, it was a wonderful idea.

Ben, I put up a video with some throat singing, I am going to get more up with different examples, and you can decide what type you’re looking for. For the legal issue – I don’t really care, that is the problem with society, the red tape bull crap pushed on us by bureaucracy. I think an awakened and enlightened society has no need for this, because people don’t have it in there consciousness to infringe on others property, be it real, personal, private, public or intellectual property. I don’t know, the way see it is if someone wants to put their name on something I create through my voice or otherwise then that is their karmic bad and something they will have to work out with the multiverse, and when someone asks them to recreate it, they can’t, so they only make themselves look like a fool, because they can’t steal our talent. If they want to make money off something I created without my permission and giving me my share and credit, well again that is their karmic bad, and I guess they need the money more than I.

nah, it's not dead, only if we kill it - haha. Time is a funny thing, i just realized it's already been three months since your first post - feels like three weeks. The best things come with time and patience :-)

Ben, I accidentally played two different and a little better quality audio tracks at the same time and it sounded awesome. So am going to experiment with making some that are complimentary to one another and see how they sound together.
