I've been helping the medical mj community in my state to fight for their rights. When I voted for it, I was not using it, though I had used it many years before. When I didn't enjoy it anymore, I quit. I believe in the right to use the medicine one feels is best, as long as no harm comes to anyone from it. It's not anyone's place to dictate what that is. Many years ago I discovered its benefits, though I hadn't thought of it as medicine, but when I realized it and saw it for what it truly is, I knew it was good.
It's sad how people think they have the right to dictate what medicine people use, how to use it, when, were, how to acquire it, etc. The government and big drug companies don't want it, prohibition is profitable to gov, and big pharma wants to have the exclusive rights to it as medicine. The war on natural remedies has been going on for about the same time as the war on mj.
It's time to stop the madness. The war on drugs has failed, many know it, maniy speak out about it, yet the Will of The People is beng ignored. Prohibition does much more harm than the thing it attempts to stop. In the group I belong to, we share the Truth about Mj, focusing on the medicinal benefits. We try to dispell the myths and lies. Mj became illegal because of greed, plain and simple, so they invented facts to support their claims, sold it to legislators, and got their way, but it hasn't stopped people from using mj.
The People know what works best for them, many have voted for the right to use it medicinally, yet gov refuses to properly implement the law, thus creating problems that do not exist. They've lost the war, they're just too blind to see it.
