Oregon’s Nature

  • I call to you dark and mysterious moonlit night,

To fill my soul with energizing Oregon light,

So that I may become one with every sight.

Let my memories dance with sights I behold,

Make them shine brighter then the purest gold,

Allow my adventurous heart to be wild and bold.

I remember the intoxicating sweet smell of maiden roses coming to be,

I stood admiring the mother rose blooms, full in their glory,

I even loved the crony old rose petals that showed me their story.

The shimmering rocks, buried in the ground, I will never forget,

Sitting as long as I could, sifting through the dirt for my best bet,

The stones glistened beams of light that danced with the sunset.

What I believe I shall miss from my vacation the very most,

Are the tree’s that span from Medford to the Oregon coast,

Redwoods, pines, oaks, ashes and japanese maples you boast.

The old enormous redwood trees I shall truly miss,

Their sweet smokey smells brought me bliss,

To all the Oregon tree’s I send my heartfelt kiss.

I will keep fond memories in my heart and in my soul,

Of the amazing sights and smells that made me whole.

Connecting me to the universe through a delightful stroll.
